A Time
Before Tartan
for

Oh no! There was a time BEFORE tartan?!?!
yes, LL
it was the
age of plaid
remnants of which
still are found in florida
and on beaches around the carribean
× × ×
/t.
IO like plaid and argyle. Is tarton anything like argyle?
argyle
is like plaid
but not as straight
× × ×
/t.
True, but what is tartan like?
of course
tartan is like
nothing else, LL...
tartan is the epitome of the ultimate concept of an idea that is...
uniquely distinct!
× × ×
/t.
conceivably i could claim a tartan. don't know about a pre-tartan though. my family on my dads side originally came from scotland ... a long time ago ...
foam,
you can
claim a tartan
any time at codepo()!
my wife's family is scottish
× × ×
/t.
I like tartan!
LL,
of course
tartan is one of the best
things that one can make from a sheep!
× × ×
/t.
How did they keep warm in this time before tartan?
I guess I could claim a tartan also as my family on my Mum's side, going back a few generations were Scottish.
xoxoxo ♡
I love the images of tartan and plaid but i cringe at those in Florida in flimsy cotton stretching over large bellies.
dianne,
snuggling!
hey, primitive does not
mean entirely without comfort :)
and they say everyone has some irish in the mix... but comments here show that scots are giving them a good run for the money!

mo,
quoting marlon brando, apocalypse now:
" the horror, the horror...
paraphrasing little linda blair, the exorcist:
" my eyes, they burn, they burn...
× × ×
/t.
" the horror, the horror...
Yes, that's exactly what I see here. It don't see tartan or plaid, I see victims of the holocaust. I see screaming faces and dead bodies piled up high.
Alright it must be an effect of my disturbed mind. Do I need to see a doctor?
I have to say the red and green lines don't fit at all with my disturbing perception of this work.
PS - I hope you don't mind me telling you all this. Would it be more appropriate for me to keep my feelings to myself?
nathalie,
we see what we see
&
who is to say what is right or wrong?
but i cannot answer, you will need to ask a doctor about whether or not you should be seeing her :)
dear nathalie, i don't mind and in fact rather enjoy all comments received here -- comments by codepo() visitors help to make these works -- and with thanks!
