mariana, you asked previously (a couple of posts back) about include files (javascript & stylesheet) -- in this post i highlight in red two lines in the xhtml code -- these lines cause the js and css files to be included (inserted) into this xhtml file at the point of the call

as noted previously, the include files contain global variable and function definitions for use by my xhtml file(s)
