i LOVE this one. but when i saw it i flashed on the dali (wait, what?) crucifixion on the floating golden chunky cross thing. amazingly beautiful overlays on the golden grid. looks so much like actual pen and ink. bravo

mo,

of course

send me something to work with...
or
would you have me guess your hair color?!? ;)

foam,

indeed -- inspired (in part) no doubt, by your recent reflection post with a beautiful sundress bedecked foam

little lamb,

thank you, dearest wooly one -- you, too, are... very nice to say!

k9,

for an old dog you are very sweet, and coming from you, dear friend... thank you...

by your description, i think you refer to dali's "Crucifixion (Hypercubus)" (he also did a work called "Crucifixion") -- beauties, both, and i thank you(!) for relating his works to mine (as dali rolls over in his grave)...

Very beautiful /t. dear, it reminds me very much of a Japanese kimono...embroidered with a golden thread overlay. ♡

boneman,

always can count
on you to see it from
an angle no one else can see

nice play on words, guy

dianne,

there is perhaps a certain formal quality to this composition that is reminiscent of japanese art work -- that and those golden threads :)

thank you for your comments <3

Hummm, I have a pokka dot sundress... have you been in Philly lately? lol

I actually saw a kimono as well when I first looked at it.

I love when people look at a piece of art and everyone is able to take away something a little personal and different. Well done sir!

lovely
blue helene,

that ability for folks
to find their own personal and different
experience of a work of art is exactly what makes art 'art', as you know well -- otherwise, the work is an advertisement, a how-to manual, propaganda, a lawn chair...

always a delight to hear from you!

An other marvelous experiment, but this time dressed by the sun.
No wonder you can see nature's harmony in the art.

Waiting patiently for "undress," though I have to admit the Sundress is quite reveling.

Need to wear an apron when you prep lamb for the barbecue so you don't get blood spatters on your nice dress.
