but how do i know it is indeed coded to standard?
it's all greek to me after all i don't even know what 'it' is ..

LL,

ASCII...
sort of like greek :)

¤ ¤ ¤

foam,

right -- you know it's coded to w3c standard because w3c will check it for you and verify it -- i use their logo here with the code i post to indicate compliance -- on the bottom of the dynamic page at warnell.com you will find this logo OR this text:
• x h t m l •
a link to the w3c validator -- click it to let w3c verify that the page you are on is indeed w3c compliant "standard" code

Well /t. dear its all very confusing to me though you have already explained twice that is is in fact...

the w3c
xhtml 1.1 verified logo
applicable to compliant xhtml 1.1 code

I would like to know who that bespectacled gentleman is at the end of the code looking up at us as if he has been interrupted and waiting for us to ask a question?
Also why is 'outside the screen' mentioned here?

dianne,

the image
at bottom is indeed

the w3c xhtml 1.1 verified logo
applicable to compliant xhtml 1.1 code

that other image is my alter ego hard at work at the keyboard to create new w3c compliant xhtml 1.1 code for all of you -- within this image are two more images, "outside the screen", sent to me by my friend rinaldo rasa in venice

yeah ... i knew that was you .. :)
but just out of curiosity ..
what happens if you are not compliant?
do they send in the code dominatrix?

code
dominatrix?

i can only hope :)

actually, that sounds like it might be good summer employment for school teachers :)

its what you get when you put a microscope on a sheet of eight and a half by eleven (eleven!!!!!) paper! standard size, sure. but look at the code! its anything but standard

7:23 PM
Blogger foam said...

actually i might need to do that in the fall ..
but, maybe not ..

8:44 PM
Blogger dianne said...

/t. dear, your alter ego looks surprised, maybe he was expecting that code dominatrix that Foam mentioned. :-)

I found the original post on mo'po 'outside the screen'at the mirror and Rinaldo's collage 'the black heart procession' the spell, does it have an explantion?

♥ a black heart as its in keeping with the theme.

k9,

grrherhaha!

but this code IS standard...
the w3c folks love my standard code :)

and hey... check the timestamp on this comment(!!!)

foam,

in the event that exotic dancer gig doesn't work out :)

¤ ¤ ¤

dianne,

you must have done some digging there -- i can't find the original post for this

an explanation for rinaldo's work? there may be, but you'd have to ask rinaldo -- it's possible, too, and highly likely, that 'explanation' resides entirely in the eye/mind of the viewer, dianne, as it rightly should for every modern work of art ♥

What is the output of the js, does the css work together with it or the js works by itself, if so
how does the css shape a page. Does this render in an html, if so, are the ininit names of god written in that resulting page?
Excelent art work, it has magic embebed in it.

1:45 AM
Blogger /t. said...

mariana,

welcome to codepo()

these two (javascript & stylesheet)
files are include files -- they define global variables & standard (db11x85) functions for the xhtml files -- visible output requires these plus xhtml -- css here is limited to global page & header definition and at any rate is often overridden by individual xhtml pages -- for additional info see:

• w3.org/Style/CSS/
• w3.org/TR/xhtml11/
• ecma-international.org/publications/standards/
  ( see Ecma-262.htm )

have fun :)

Thank you very much for your explanation, now I understand better, I see you use xhtml, which is great for programmers like me that want to steal the text that is in your webpage and not have to deal with a badly written html. This thihngs are fun!
Take care
